BE ADVISED:
Due to widespread changes related to Covid-19, Account Registration is now remote. Please complete and submit a relevant request form below. These widespread changes also mean access to the above mentioned USM and affiliated institutions is currently unavailable. Moore Library will communicate any updates.

- 28 days for all undergrad, graduate and staff registered borrowers
- 1 semester for faculty
- Items may be renewed for an additional 28 days if they have not been recalled.
- Items may be renewed in person or online through your library account.
- Overdue items may only be renewed in person nor online.
- Phone renewals are not accepted.
- Holds may be placed on any circulating item in the USMAI system except e-Books. Items may be sent to Moore Library or any USMAI library of your choice.
- Coppin students, faculty and staff may not place an item on HOLD if that item is on the shelf at Moore Library.
- Holds may take 5 to 14 business days for delivery. Check your library account for the status of your Hold request.
- Make sure your email address and phone number are current and correct.
- All library materials you have checked out are subject to recall.
- The library reserves the right to request the return of books when needed by another borrower.
- You are guaranteed at least 14 days with the item before a recall due date.

Returns
- Items may be returned at the Circulation Desk during regular business hours. The Book Depository located along
the right wall at the front entrance of the Library is available for book returns 24 hours a day
- Materials not returned by the due date will be considered overdue and after 35 days considered lost. Fines will
accrue until the items are returned.
- You can easily determine when your books are due. Please click here to access your USMAI account.
Fines
- Coppin fines are .50 cents per day per item.
- Overdue/lost books items belonging to other libraries are charged the owning library’s overdue/lost book rate.
- Lost book charges include: the cost of the book plus a $25 processing fee. If the item is returned,
the maximum fine of $15 per item will be assessed.
BE ADVISED:
If you return a book from Spring 2020, due date on or after March 16, you will not be charged a fine at Coppin or any other USMAI library.
If the due date was March 15 or earlier, please return your item(s) and contact the Circulation Department for a prorated fine. Contact the owning institution for non-Coppin items.
The following materials do not circulate outside Moore Library:
- Reserve materials (link Circulation Department)
- Reference materials (link Reference Department)
- Afro-American collection (Reference Department)
- Periodicals (newspapers, journals, magazines; link Serials Department)
- Microfilm and microfiche (Serials Department)
If you'd like to secure access to these resources, please contact the appropriate departments. Keep in mind you must have your updated current semester Coppin EagleCard.
Most of Moore Library’s electronic resources permit access from off campus to current Coppin State University students, faculty, and staff only. Some resources require Coppin users to authenticate with their 14-digit barcode on the back of the CSU EagleCard. To activate your account/barcode, you must register with the Circulation Department. Other resources require the use of a VPN account. Click here for the My Accounts page and links for registration and the VPN.
- Use this free service to request books/book chapters not available in Catalog USMAI and journal articles not available in full-text from our electronic databases or periodicals collection. Course textbooks may not be requested. Physical items are not approved for Course Reserves.
- You must be a registered borrower to use this service.
- To access ILLIAD, click here, then click on “First Time Users” to set up your account. Make sure you write down and secure your password since it will be needed for future ILL use.
